I know it’s cliche, but things become cliche because there is a lot of truth behind them. So when starting on a new “Diet” or exercise program you must approach it from a positive place and attitude. For instance throw out the idea your never going to eat your favorite treat again, deprivation is a bad idea and will gauruntee you wll crave that treat and have it. Then your going to feel bad about yourself for failing on your plan. That’s not a good start to make positive change from. Instead plan to have a reasonable portion of your favorite treat once a week as a reward for eating and exercising according to your new plan all week. Now you get to feel good about having it , can really enjoy it guilt free, and you are staying on track because you accounted for your treat in your program.
